Tourism degree dropped
The University of Otago has deleted the bachelor of tourism from its roster of conferred degrees, and the ualification will revert to a major subject in the bachelor of commerce degree.
The Otago Daily Times reports that the university’s deputy vice-chancellor academic and international Prof Vernon Squire told university council members this week undergraduates would still be able to study tourism, but the degree structure had been “slightly reconfigured” and a BCom would now be conferred on graduates.
